JD Collins

Fall is a useful time for families to reset routines and update the little things that matter. If your student is driving more, moving out, or bringing new responsibilities into the mix, I can help with auto, renters, and medical supplement insurance questions. We are here to help. First licensed in 1998 for insurance and various financial services, which allowed me to help people plan for retirement (and other savings goals). It has been my joy to provide security, safety, and comfort to my customers and their loved ones. My wife of over 30 years, and I also enjoy listening to live music, taking long drives, and playing with my dog Pepper. Today, you can find me at the heart of Bedford County near the Visitor Center and the D-Day Memorial.

I am honored to serve near this Memorial. Not just because my grandfather was a (Veteran)Tuskegee Air Man, but also because Veterans understand “Freedom isn’t Free”. Whether you are in Richmond or Roanoke, my team stands ready to assist you and those important to you. Call, click, text, or email the office to get a Personal Price Plan! My office has 50+ years of experience we can use to find options that work for nearly every situation.

Did you know we offer insurance policies for personal articles and would love to talk to you about insuring your wedding ring or other valuable items such as art, jewelry, and personal computers? The first car State Farm ever insured was in June of 1922. Today, we are proud to help millions of people all over the country protect what matters most and plan for the future. #GoodNeighbor

I eagerly await the opportunity to help you and your family. And, since we are 20 minutes from Smith Mountain Lake (SML), we can cover all your recreational needs as well. I am so excited to serve the community of Bedford County and the state of Virginia. If you are in Forest, Altavista, Amherst, Glasgow, Botetourt, Buchanan, Timberlake, Farmville, or any place in the state of Virginia, we can help. I am asking you to give us a try. My office is open Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, with after-hours appointments available by request—both in-person and virtually.
